Huskies Learn From Tough Road Weekend

After being blown out in the third period by the Jayhawks in the third period of Game 1, the Huskies rebounded with a great showing in Game 2 on saturday night. Like the first game, the Huskies scored first with Joe Majewski’s great effort. Despite this, the Kansas defense was able to hold NIU scoreless for the rest of the game, while the Jayhawks were able to put four in on the Huskies. Tim Benham played very well in net the whole game for the Huskies, saving 33 of 37 shots. The team looks to rebound from this tough weekend against non-conference oppenent Marquette University at 9pm Friday night and 3pm Saturday afternoon, at the NIU Hockey Home Arena (Leafs Ice Centre).
