DIII Huskies Drop Games to MSOE

12/5/18 — DeKalb, IL | The DIII Huskies hosted the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) Raiders on November 30 and December 1 at Leafs Ice Centre in West Dundee, IL. Unfortunately for the Huskies, they dropped both games on the weekend.

MSOE kept the Huskies off the scoreboard in both contests. On Friday night, the visitors defeated NIU by a score of 9-0. Junior goaltender Josh Stoos made 62 saves on 71 shots during the game. MSOE outshot NIU by a 71-16 margin. The Huskies went 0-3 on the power play, but never gave the Raiders a chance to work on their man advantage.

The Raiders completed their sweep of the weekend with a 12-0 victory on Saturday evening. Sophomore goaltender Ethan Koncor made 54 saves on 66 shots in the contest. MSOE outshot NIU by a 66-22 margin. The

Huskies went 0-2 on the power play while the Raiders went 2-3 on their man advantages. The DIII Huskies now have a 2-17-0-0 record on the 2018-2019 campaign.

The Huskies will complete the 2018 portion of the 2018-2019 season with a road game against Marquette University. The Huskies and Marquette will face-off at 9:30 p.m. on December 7 at Eble Ice Center in Brookfield, WI.
