11/24/19 Dekalb, IL – The D1 Huskies traveled to Bloomington, Illinois to take on Illinois State University for MCH conference games. The Huskies split the weekend winning Friday 2-1 and then falling 6-1 on Saturday.

Friday night ISU put up the first and only goal through the first two periods of play and the Huskies found themselves trailing 1-0 going into the third period. Five minutes after that Prozondek answered again with another goal allowing the Huskies to be up 2-1 and maintained it with strong defense. Moving into Saturday the Huskies struggled to get the puck to the net. Near the beginning of the game a major penalty caused the Huskies to fight for the game. ISU was able to find a way to get five goals and then Freshman Alex Piotrowski found the back of the net making the score 1-5. Piotrowski stated, after having a few opportunities before it felt good to out work the guy who had the puck and score the goal. After Piotrowski scored the Huskies were unable to reach the net. Assistant Coach Bristol said with a group of young guys the execution coming back from a winning night needs to be stronger. Sophomore Goaltender Chad Dodero was in net stopping 61 of 66 shots on goal.
