D1 Huskies drop conference pair to Waldorf University

10/11/2021 The DI Huskies traveled to Minnesota to take on Waldorf University at Albert Lea City Arena, October 8th and 9th. The Huskies fell both games, 3-6 Friday and 1-4 Saturday. 

Friday, the Huskies were determined to pull a conference game win and were battling for the puck, Rodahn Evans was the first for the Huskies to score a goal. Five minutes into the first period the score was 1-1. Minutes later, Evans scored his second goal of the game and made the score 2-1. The Huskies’ third goal was scored by Midas Bacidore at 6:30 in the second period. Unable to find the back of the net to win, the Huskies’ final score was 3-6. 

Saturday, the Huskies struggled to find the openings to score. Huskies Randy Apter scored the Huskies’ only goal of the night at 13:18 in the second period to bring the score 1-2. The Huskies ended the game with a final score of 1-4. 

Friday’s goaltender Benjamin Vutci saved 15 of 21 shots on goal during 20 minutes of play and Goaltender Grant Goodson saved 30 of 39 shots for 40 minutes of play. Saturday goaltender Grant Goodson saved 32 of 36 shots on goal. 

The DI Huskies travel to take on Midland University on October 22nd and 23rd at 7:45 and 7:30 pm. Games will be played at Sidner Ice Arena in Fremont, NE.
