Northern Illinois University Hockey is excited to announce the addition of Randy Apter to our 2019-2020 recruiting class. Apter, a 5’10’’ 140 lbs. forward from Orland Park, IL was a member of the Huskies Midget U18 AA this past season.
“Randy is a hard working forward with a great offensive skill set,” said NIU General Manager Ian Kalanges. “Randy comes to use after an impressive season with the Huskies of the Central States Development Hockey League where he was a top 5 player in the whole league. Randy’s game is going to transition well to the college level where he is going to continue to develop and grow.”
“I picked NIU because of the strong business program which was a great fit for me academically” said Apter. “With NIU moving up to the ACHA D1 level it gives me the ability to get a great education along with playing a high level of hockey.”
